The person behind PreMed Pack — here's my path through it, and how to reach me if you want to talk through yours.
Hey y'all — my name is Molly! I'm currently taking a gap year and applying to medical schools. Recently I finished an SMP (special master's program) through Pitt and got a lot more insight into the process of applying. I also know how daunting this process can be, and I'm here to help provide y'all with as much guidance as you want. I definitely struggled navigating how to approach all of the different parts of building my application!!
Over the years, I've gotten clinical experience as an inpatient CNA, an MA in dermatology, and working alongside physicians in the emergency department. I also have research experience in both bacterial and animal models, working broadly in neurodegenerative research. I got involved at local food banks, volunteered in hospitals and at cat shelters, and did both concert and marching band over the years — plus worked at a pilates studio, too.
The name of the game is work hard, play hard, and find the best way to balance all of your experiences in order to make you a genuine, well-rounded applicant!
